We're looking forward to next year's Milan furniture fair already.
We're pleased to announce that we'll be showing the AR001, AR002 & AR003 at this year's Mid Century Modern at Dulwich College, London.
Following the positive response to the AR001 & AR002 at Interiors Birmingham 2010, we will be showing them here in London upholstered in the eco conscious 'Second Nature' range of fabrics from Camira; fabrics that are both renewable and compostable.
Mid Century Modern will also see us launching the AR003 stacking chair. This is a minimal lightweight dining chair which will be available in a range of finishes, with an upholstered seat pad.
Having been many times to Mid Century Modern as a visitor, we're really looking forward to taking part this year - so if you're in the area on March 21st, please pop by and say hi - it's always a good show.
Here are some of the photos from our recent show at Interiors Birmingham 2010. Thanks to everybody who came to see us and for all your positive response. This was a good preview show for us, prior to our trip to Milan in April.
We're very pleased to announce that we'll be showing the AR001 arm chair and AR002 sofa with Designer's Block at the Birmingham Interiors Show : January 24th - 27th 2010 at the NEC. Designer's Block have just posted a press release detailing all those exhibiting.
For the show we're proud to say that we've teamed up with the Scottish fabric company Bute who will kindly be supplying the upholstery fabrics from their new range 'Galloway'.
Influenced by a 1950's aesthetic, the AR001 and AR002 blend utilitarianism with a contemporary style to create a commercial range which we believe will bridge the gap between the contract and domestic markets.
We are proud to announce that we have just purchased a book called Good Office Design by David Littlefield which features our work for eOffice Manchester. Compiled as a series of case studies, this book charts the trends and innovations of workplace design from 2002 to the present day. All of the projects featured here have been selected from the British Council for Offices award winners, with the intention of "shedding light on current best practice in the sector where matching the needs of business with the needs of staff is increasingly important for commercial or organisational success."
Needless to say we're delighted to have been included in this publication and we are genuinely impressed with the book overall; the quality of the projects, the images and the writing make it an interesting read for anyone looking to make the most of their work space.
Hi there. We thought we'd celebrate our 6th birthday by launching our new blog... Here we hope to record our work, ideas, and inspiration and to give you a feel for who we are and what makes us tick. Lets hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy writing it...
So to kick off here's the newsletter we recently sent out:
|My how time flies! We’d just like to thank everyone who has helped us over the last 6 eventful years…
In that time a lot has happened & the journey has been both exciting & rewarding. We’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in a variety of different projects from workplace & retail design to residential interiors. We’ve also picked up a few awards along the way; 2007 saw eOffice Manchester scoop two BCO awards in the ‘Small Projects Northern Region’ & ‘Innovation’ categories. Then in 2008 eOffice Birmingham went on to win the ‘Small Projects Midlands Region’.
2008 also created more residential opportunities for us, one of which involved the transformation of a 1930’s home into a contemporary family dwelling.
We are also delighted to say that we’ve had the opportunity of working with the global sports brand Puma over the years; designing both offices and showrooms for them in London & Manchester.
And finally, this month has seen the completion of a new retail outlet for Manchester’s Duty Free clothing & the jeans brand Damage.
So thank you for all your support and we look forward to what the future holds…
From all at Assemblyroom
